Some facts about Hank. He will be 80 in one month. He is the 5th kid of eight. They didn't have electricity until 1939. He wanted 18 kids so we could play baseball games. (He got 5.) He went to St. Meinrad Seminary and thought about becoming a Catholic priest. Then he went into the army and thought about going into intelligence. (He was discharge due to a medical condition.) He went to get his teaching degree and only taught a couple of years before he was elected President of Michigan Federation of Teachers. He had his picture taking with President Johnson and VP Humphrey. He met Bill Clinton. He sang in our church choir for over 30 years.
