[mosaic monday] fruit stands

There are no fruit stands close to me. But I decided to try out the 2 closest, about 20 minutes in opposite directions. The first one, Lake Jovita, was smaller and a bit closer since I do more stuff in the area. They get their fruit from the big market in Plant City. The other one, Bearss Groves, was bigger and had a much better selection. I wasn't paying attention to prices as I am more interested in quality. Publix just isn't doing it for me anymore. Both days it was drizzling steadily which is odd for Florida. I'm sure I looked odd bringing in my camera. Oh well, I spent money too. By the way, I am not sure which I prefer. The cantaloupe at Bearss was much sweeter. But the peaches were better, though bruised, at Lake Jovita. Perhaps produce is a hit or miss not matter where you buy. I wish there was still a produce guy who drove down the streets. His truck smelled so good with all the sweet fruit. Oh I am sure he had vegetables, I just remember the fruit.
