banyan tree

My friend came in for the weekend and we went to St Pete to take some photos. I haven't been in years and it was fun to do without kids. Our first stop was Straub Park and the Banyan Trees. Can you believe these massive trees started out as fig trees? Those viney things are roots sent down by germinated fruit which will grown into more of the trunk.

I am loving this week's new theme of Natural Light. Especially since I have turned my camera flash off and love to take photos outside.
