Scot Baston issued a New Years Sunrise challenge on flickr and Twitter. Yesterday, we had beautiful light. Today, we had rain followed by clouds. I was also limited in where I could go since I had to be back before 8 am.
Andy & I went down the road and found this rentention pond. At first glance, I didn’t even notice all the cranes out there. But once I zoomed in I could see at least a dozen birds.
I didn’t get great shots but it was good to get out so early. I have also found a spot that I will go back on a clear day.
I watched the sunrise this morning too, but no camera! Love the cranes!
Love the unexpected bonus of the cranes
I love it when I get my act together and go out with my camera early in the morning. Good for you to get the extra bonus of cranes.
The cranes just draw me in and make me want to see more of them. . . . .
The cranes are great -they are so fun to watch.
Such a peaceful picture.
Oh, this looks so peaceful. Must’ve been a wonderful morning!
His,
Shari
Great shot!
Color me jealous! What a wonderful place–and all those birds–droooool! Now you know, with my warped brain, I was fully expecting, reading the titlejust (with the question mark, indicating in my mind a pun) a photo of one of your boys just rolling out of bed. I like this one better. Sure would like to shoot down there with you!
So lucky you don’t have snow in your equation… Great shot!
Such cool birds.
so cool that you discovered the cranes!
very cool!
